: : Blessings

The Episcopal Church seeks to affirm and bless lifelong relationships and other life transitions that may fall outside traditional marriage. To that end St. Paul's offers blessings to those in the community who seek such recognition. Blessings in the church include but are not limited to; civil marriages, covenanted relationships, renewal of marriage vows, reaffirmation of commitments, ending of a marriage relationship and other life transitions..

In order to seek such blessings members of St. Paul's are encouraged to contact the Rector as soon as possible. In some cases vestry approval as well as the Bishop's consent may be necessary in order to move forward with a blessing.

If you are not a member of St. Paul's we encourage you to be in contact with the Rector no later than 6 months prior to the proposed blessing date. We encourage you to be a part of a faith community that will support you in your new life.

We believe it is helpful at this stage to be both welcoming and clear about what we believe and practice, and what we can offer you in terms of where and how your blessing will be celebrated.

May God bless you as you prepare for this sacred journey.
